Platypus Industrie build fine scale brass models of mining and heavy construction equipment. Our speciality is the manufacture of short production run models as presentation and promotional pieces for equipment manufacturers. We also build "one off " commissioned models for collectors and corporate clients.
All our products are made in Britain. We work to the finest standards, mainly in brass but including other archival quality materials where appropriate.
Our designs are produced from the original equipment manufacturers' drawings together with surveys at work sites, and manufacturers' plants.
Interest from collectors has led us to introduce our own range of limited edition miniatures. Details can be found on the product pages.
Our models are highly detailed complete with full cab interiors, engines and drive trains. Rigs are fully fitted with hydraulic hoses, cabling and pipework.
